On a spring trip to Hatteras you take everything you've got, and hope for wind. Much of the time you end up on small gear. But if it's a warm day with a light breeze, why not go over to the ocean side and punch a few waves? Adrian had no trouble getting out, and managed some pretty nice-looking rides on the way in.
